The Five Most Noticeable Pinoy Facebook Habits
By: Veronica A. Apostol
Hey! What’s up? Do you use Facebook every day? Facebook has been your buddy in sharing your happy moments, your thoughts, and the sad parts of your life.
Here are some things to observe!
* “HBD”
It’s your birthday!
Notice that on your birthday, your families and friends greet you Happy Birthday with a whole, genuine heart. But on Facebook, instead of typing “Happy Birthday” in full, some will post “HBD”, the shortcut of the greeting.
It’s understandable that posting the shortcut is easier, but typing “Happy Birthday” in full could make the celebrant happier. Don’t you think?
* Works at “edi sa puso mo” (in your heart)

* Works at “edi sa puso mo” (in your heart)
On Facebook it’s up to you if you want to put your professional
status or not. And notice how some of your friends on Facebook prefer to add
their own twist to their professional status. The most common workplace that
these people have is “edi sa puso mo”. See anyone from your friends who happen
to work there as well?
* Turning the comment into a chat box
Everyone on Facebook has the right to freedom of speech! So every one is welcome to post pictures and have friends like the photos. Some would even post a comment as well! That could be very nice, especially when people start conversations in the comment box – or is it?
Well, whether you’re the type who loves or loathes engaging in conversations in the comment box, be wary that the more personal stuff are better discussed in the chat box.
* That friend who loves posting selfies
We all have that friend on Facebook who loves to take selfies. Sure, she’s good-looking, so it’s no wonder she likes taking pictures of herself. Every scroll you make is another selfie of the same person.
Sometimes, you start wondering if she’s the only Facebook friend you have.
* The “pa-like please?” (please like it) friend
You are peacefully browsing on Facebook when suddenly, one of your friends sends you a message asking you for help. Of course, here you are, being a true friend and asking how you could help. Their dilemma?
“Friend, pa-like?”
And being the true friend you really are, you sacrifice a few peaceful minutes for yourself and take time to like that photo.
There you have it – the five most noticeable habits Filipinos have on Facebook. So the next time you log in, feel free to tell us which of them you’ve encountered!
