Sweet Ways To Make Her Say Yes

“If my love were an ocean, there would be no more land. If my love were a desert, you would see only sand. If my love were a star-late at night, only light. And if my love could grow wings, I’d be soaring in flight.” -Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

Ahh, love! Do you believe in a love that lasts forever? Familiar with the vows “for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, and ‘til death do us part”?

If you said ‘yes’ to both questions, then you know that it all starts with a question that is also answerable by yes or no.

“Will you marry me?”

Most of the time, it’s a yes. Sometimes, it’s a no. But if you do it right, it’s definitely the first one.

But how do you do it right? Well, why not take some pointers from these “proposal experts” who took it to the next level!

·         Let the “whole world” know!

It may be ambitious, but it’s possible. Well, sort of.

Meet Loubert Rosales and his girlfriend, Mira Chung, a couple of seven years. Finally, Loubert is ready for his story of forever. In fact, he’s so ready he posted a sign around the globe - literally! But we’re not talking about the classroom-type of globe; we mean the one in front of SM Mall of Asia. Yes, Loubert had a sign that read “MIRA L. CHUNG, WILL YOU MARRY ME?” hanged around that huge thing.

I don’t know about you, but if a guy were so into me that he’ll let the whole world know that it’s going to be forever, why would I say no?

·         How about breaking the law while you’re at it?

If you’re some sort of a daredevil who’s very in love with his significant other, then Hector Martinez is your new hero. His idea of a great proposal included blocking the one of Los Angeles’ busiest highways with 300 of his biker bro’s and spewing out pink exhaust fumes with them.

Illegal yes, but the second-best part was he got away with it. He put the huge traffic to a halt when he finally got down on his knees and proposed to his long-time girlfriend. Don’t worry. The best part was she said yes.

·         Get creative (and prepare a huge budget)!

Seriously, the best way is to be creative in going about it, even better if you’ve got a budget.

And if you’ve got a really big budget to spend, why not go all out, just like what Liam Cooper did?

The Australian candidate for our “Best Boyfriend Award” made a huge music video production (that was aired between trailers in a real cinema) to propose to his girlfriend.

Of course, music videos aren’t music videos without, well, music! Liam’s song of choice? The 2014 hit “Rude” by “Magic!” The band even gave their message to the couple at the end of the video!

Okay, so the lyrics aren’t exactly what you’d want to say to your girlfriend’s dad, but it’s kind of romantic, especially when you’ve spent a lot and took all the trouble in creating a music video proposal.

To cut the long story short, Amy, Liam’s girlfriend, said yes.

We hope you’ve learned a thing or two from these guys. Not a fan of going to the same extremes? Don’t worry, as long as it’s from the heart (and you’re really ready!), proposing to her will be something that both of you will remember forever.
