LIFE OF A COMMUNICATION STUDENTS AFTER GRADUATION

The AB Communication 4 of Angeles University Foundation (AUF) held an event at Professionals School (PS 517). The event is all about Career Insights: PR and Digital Media Jobs for Communication Graduates. The 7 speakers are AB/Mass Communication alumni who shared their life after graduation.

Here are the key learning that I learned from our 7 alumni speakers.

· According to Mr. Reyes, to have a successful career in life you must have the Passion, Skills and Market. If your passion is to become a newscaster go for it but your passion must connect to your skills. You must have the voice and confidence to be a successful Newscaster. After graduation you don't know where to apply jobs but if you have the passion, skills and market you will be successful.

· Ms. Mungcal said that, you should become honest in yourself in choosing a path in your life. She said that being a communication graduates is not easy because after graduation you don’t know where to apply jobs, but now she is a successful woman. She started in ABS-CBN and GMA but she is not happy to her career, she find her self in AirAssia.

· Mr. Tiotuico and Mr. Cortez said that, even their work is from home base, there are a lot of temptations. According to them, even their work is home base, they work 8hours or more. They give us to take care of our self and embrace the nature. They also told us that we should love our jobs because it’s not all about money.

· Mr. Gonzales and Ms. Navarro are content editor from BPO Incorporation. Ms. Magante is a Link Builder on BPO. I learned from them that being a content editor is not easy because you browse the Facebook all day. As long as they love what they’re doing they will be successful.
