Facing the Giants..

Last Oct 10, 2015 The samaskom launched a seminar that would open the future graduates of ABComm entitled, Career Insight: PR and Digital Media Jobs for Communication Graduates. And a preparation on facing the real world soon. It’s not easy, it’s a little bit scary in pursuing of our dreams but this seminar gave us knowledge on how we can be competitive among others. But this will not be possible without the help of the alumni speakers, who shared their stories and experiences.

Here are the thoughts that caught my heart..

After graduation your luggage are empty, you only have your diploma (Im not saying diploma is nothing) You don’t have experience, don’t know where to start but according to Mr. Nico Reyes one of the speakers, Mass communication is one of the flexible course, so you can expand your options. In additional, Mr Jeremy Cortez said grades are not the one will identify what your future will be, same with what school you graduated, It’s about YOU! You’re the one who creates your future. So there is no reason to be afraid of what will happen after graduation. Be Confident enough. Everyone will face the real world, and everyone had to start from the bottom.

Lastly, Look for the one you love. Are you going to work in a big company? seating infront of a computer for 8hrs a day or You’ll stay up all night just to shout “action” for 100 times, or maybe you are willing to wreck your brain to edit those articles on top of your desk? so choose the one you love, so that you’ll not easily get tired and give up. having the right choice last forever.
